Performance Measurement

The HSPN originated from a goal to develop performance measures that specifically assess the performance of health systems rather than specific healthcare providers. We have developed a range of research that has assessed the performance of the health system and specific health system interventions that address the needs of patients with complex health needs including high-need and high-cost populations. This work is undertaken with a view to the triple-aim framework of health system performance and emphasizes developing approaches that track patient trajectories across multiple providers in the health system inclusive of episodic and ongoing care needs.
